Jim Kendall, LCSW, CEAP
ManagerJim earned his Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Tennessee in 1978 after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of clinical experience. Jim joined the Vanderbilt staff in 2000 after working as the Executive Director of the PSI Solutions Center and was the Director of Access at HCA Parthenon Pavilion. He was Director of the Williamson Medical Center Psychiatric Center and was an outpatient therapist at Dede Wallace Mental Health Center. Jim has been recognized by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation for his work in Critical Incident Stress Management.

Mary Yarbrough, MD, MPH
DirectorDr. Yarbrough is the Executive Director of Vanderbilt’s Faculty/Staff Health and Wellness Programs, which includes the Occupational Health Clinic; the Vanderbilt Child and Family Centers; Work/Life Connections--EAP, including the Faculty/Physician Wellness and Nurse Wellness Programs; and Health Plus, Vanderbilt’s health promotion program.

Ellen Trice, LCSW, CEAP
Recovery Support CoordinatorEllen earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and a B.S. Degree in Human Behavior from Peabody. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Her background in EAP includes starting the first employee assistance program at the University of California at Berkley; staffing the EAP program at Textron Aerostructures; and being Vanderbilt's first full-time EAP Coordinator in 1992.

Ellen Clark, LCSW, CEAP
EAP CounselorEllen earned a Master's of Science Degree in Social Work at the University of Tennessee after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Oakland University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience. Ellen has provided clinical services to Peninsula Hospital, The Village, Children's Psychological Services, and Levi Strauss and Co. She has provided training for St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, Catholic Charities, Alcohol and Drug Council, Tennessee State University, the Crisis Intervention Center and taught graduate level courses at the University of Tennessee.

Margie Gale, RN, MSN, CEAP
Nurse Wellness SpecialistMargie is a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 30 years of nursing experience. She has been a nursing instructor at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing, MeHarry Medical College and at Columbia State Community College. In 1988, Margie worked for the PASS, an Employee Assistance Program for the Nashville Police Department. She is actively involved in the Tennessee Nurses Association. Margie joined Work/Life Connections-EAP in September, 2002.

Stephanie Dean, LPC, CEAP
Assistant ManagerStephanie earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She joined the Work/Life Connections-EAP Team in January, 2008 after working as a Senior EAP for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Stephanie has also served as the Director of Employee Assistance Programs for Family and Children’s Services in Nashville and was the EAP Director for Northcrest Medical Center.

Paul Ragan, MD
Medical DirectorDr. Ragan is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and is Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Vanderbilt's School of Medicine, Senior Consulting Psychiatrist for the Adult Psychiatric Consultation Service and Staff Psychiatrist in the PTSD Clinic for the Tennessee Valley Health System, Nashville Campus.

Lynn Ewing
Administrative Assistant IILynn Ewing is the Administrative Assistant II for Work/Life Connections-EAP. She earned her B.S. degree from Tennessee State University in Business Administration and has extensive Vanderbilt experience with budgets and policies. During her years at Vanderbilt, Lynn has served on the Staff Council and the Vanderbilt Student Communications Board. Before coming to Work/Life Connection-EAP, Lynn worked at the Eskind Biomedical Library where she was on the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance team.

Harriett Boglin
Administrative AssistantHarriett earned her B.S. Degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University. Prior to joining the Work/Life Connections-EAP Team, Harriett was the Clerical Supervisor in the Occupational Health Clinic and the Assistant Office Manager in the Opportunity Development Center.

James McFerrin, MD
Consulting PsychiatristDr. McFerrin earned his MD from the University of Tennessee after receiving a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Vanderbilt. He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who is a consulting psychiatrist; an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at VUMC; is in private practice; a staff psychiatrist for the VA Hospital; and is on the psychiatric staff at Parthenon Pavilion at Centennial Medical Center. Dr. McFerrin has served as a Flight Surgeon in the U. S Army and is a lifetime Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association.
